Paws on the Ground – We’re in the Lakes! 🐾

Woof! It’s us again, your favourite fluffy explorers, reporting live from the Lake District!

After what felt like forever in the car (Teddy insists it was hours), we’ve arrived at our summer base. As soon as we hopped out, we gave the area a good sniff 10 out of 10 for forest smells. The caravan is set up, our pen is in place, and we’ve already claimed our spots in the awning. Dad did a great job, so we let him sit down for a brew after.

Our first little adventure of the trip was a chilled one. We did around four miles of walking, which suited us just fine after the journey. The trail was lovely; soft earth under paw, trees all around, and plenty of space to run ahead and pretend we knew where we were going.

We stopped by the lake for a while and just… stared at it. Big water, no waves, lots of birds. Very peaceful. Teddy got reflective. I (Buddy) just wanted to chase a stick.

The new setup is really cosy,  we both approve. The pitch is perfect and shady and our pen gives us a perfect view of everything important (like snacks and squirrels). Dinner was excellent, and we each got a chew when we settled into the caravan for the evening. We’ve trained dad well.

We’re excited for what’s to come. There’s talk of mountains, new paths and some more wild camping, so we will keep an eye out for the BIG rucksack. We’ll be sharing every step – or paw print – along the way.

Tail wags and treat dreams,
Teddy & Buddy 🐶🐶
