This May half term, we’re heading out on our biggest adventure yet! A two-night wild camping trip into higher, more remote ground. It’s wilder, steeper, and a little more challenging than our first, and I couldn’t be more excited.
We’ll be spending the first night beside a secluded mountain tarn, surrounded by open hills and dramatic views. It’s a quiet, untouched place, somewhere that feels completely off-grid, where the sky feels bigger and time moves slower.
The next day, we’ll climb higher to explore a hidden historical site a reminder of the landscape’s layered past, and a perfect spot to pause and take it all in. The dogs will be in their element, and I can’t wait to see where the path takes us.
This time, I’ll be carrying a little less weight and a little more experience. Warmer layers, lighter gear, and a clearer idea of what truly matters out there. I’m not just planning a walk I’m carving out space to disconnect, reset, and come home to the quiet version of myself that only seems to surface in the hills.
